Green Fest XIV: Educational Activities Highlights

During the 14th edition of Mitrovica Green Fest, the educational program captivated participants with insightful discussions and hands-on activities aimed at fostering environmental awareness. The festival featured four impactful Green Talks covering vital topics such as “The Condition of Rivers in Mitrovica”, “The Potentials of Public Spaces Near Rivers”, “Dead Rivers of Kosovo”, and “The Impact of Industrial Discharges on Rivers”. These talks provided a platform for experts, activists, and community members to engage in meaningful dialogue on the state of our local waterways.

In addition to the discussions, the festival hosted two art workshops designed specifically for children, sparking their creativity while teaching them about environmental stewardship. The promotion of the children’s book “Defenders of the Planet” was a highlight, inspiring young minds to take an active role in protecting our planet. The educational program also included a workshop on fishing and the underwater world, offering kids a closer look at the importance of aquatic life and sustainable fishing practices.
